Now in its fourth year, WittCon, an alcohol-free event that is open to the public, brings together game enthusiasts of all experience levels in a friendly, inviting atmosphere. Larry Wick, creator of WEGS (Wickedly Errant Game System) is the featured guest at this year's event. He will make a presentation following a dinner scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
Registration begins at 12:30 p.m., and the cost is $5, which includes dinner and registration fees. The first games begin at 1 p.m. and will continue until approximately midnight. Many games will be available, including a Magic Tournament at this year's event. Other games include "After World" (World of Darkness), "Ninja Nutiness" (D&D Oriental Adventures), "Dies Irae, Dies Eire" (Call of Cthulu d20), "Lep-R-Can Chase" (Paranoia) and "Demo of Doom" (Amtgard).
Balloting for a costume contest will take place throughout the convention, with awards to be handed out at dinner. University rules and regulations prohibit weapons as part of the costumes on the premises.
More information on WittCon IV is available online or by contacting the Role-Playing Guild via e-mail.
