Weaver Chapel shines in the distance

Thirty-seven voices strong and directed by Associate Professor of Music Joyce Wendel, the Wittenberg Chamber Singers include 25 students and 12 members of the Springfield community. The ensemble will perform before the Springfield Symphony Orchestra’s Master Works III concert, "From the New World," featuring Jorja Fleezanis, violin. Admission is charged for the symphony concert.
"Hark, I Hear the Harps Eternal," "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," conducted by music education major Jaime Langston, class of 2007 from Versailles, Ohio, "No Hidin' Place," "Sing Me to Heaven," "You Are the New Day," conducted by music education major Keith Ward, class of 2007 from Urbana, Ohio, "Shenandoah" and "Children, Go Where I Send Thee" will be performed.
At 3 p.m. Saturday, April 21, the Wittenberg Chamber Singers will present a concert with the Wittenberg Chamber Orchestra in the university's historic Weaver Chapel. The performance will include Mozart's "Regina Coeli."
The concerts are free and open to the public.
