Music At Wittenberg To Present Concerts


Wittenberg Handbell Choir
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Music at Wittenberg will present two concerts this weekend, one featuring a women's choir and a handbell choir, and another featuring a flute choir and a woodwind quintet. Both programs are free and open to the public.

The Wittenberg Singers, the SSAA women's choir, conducted by Carol J. Todd and accompanied by Diane Slagle, piano, will present its annual spring concert at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 14, in Weaver Chapel. The Wittenberg Handbell Choir, conducted by Margaret Dill, interim director, will assist on two selections, and the program will feature classical, musical theatre and patriotic music.

At 8 p.m. Monday, April 16, the Wittenberg Flute Choir, Lori Akins, director, will perform in Krieg Hall, as 11 students from varied musical backgrounds present works by Bach, Barber, Verdi, Beethoven, Haydn, Manuel and McMichael. The program will also feature selections by a student woodwind quintet.
