Wittenberg Department Of Theatre And Dance
Presents New Student Showcase

Springfield, Ohio – Wittenberg theatre students of the class of 2011 will perform for their fellow students and visiting family members in the New Student Showcase, directed by Adjunct Instructor of Languages John Cantrell. The showcase, part of a busy Family Weekend schedule, will start at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 28-29, in Blair Hall Theatre. Admission is free.

The showcase features Wittenberg's newest thespians and entertainers in theatre and musical numbers from a variety of plays and productions, including Amadeus, Pippin, All Kidding Aside, Charlie Brown, Teach Me How to Cry, Equus and Sister Mary Ignatius Explains it All. Musical numbers include selections from Jekyll and Hyde, West Side Story, Phantom of the Opera and Pippin, in addition to other dramatic selections.

Students performing in the showcase are Christopher Lowenfeld from Broadview Heights, Ohio, Brett Weisman from Cleveland, Ohio, Sheila Herlihy from North Royalton, Ohio, Jessie Voors from Fort Wayne, Ind., Michael Doerschuk from Louisville, Ohio, Kelley Herde from Louisville, Ky., Maureen Esty from Olney, Md., Molly Elsasser from Quechee, Vt., Meredith Mock from Cincinnati, Ohio, and Meghan Flahive from Indianapolis, Ind. The student stage manager is Kori Gunther, class of 2010 from South Charleston, Ohio.
