Wittenberg Features Students In Annual Fall Dance Concert

Students participate in the 2006 Fall Dance Concert
Springfield, Ohio – The Wittenberg Department of Theatre and Dance will feature its annual Fall Dance Concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday–Saturday, Nov. 1–3, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, in Chakeres Memorial Theatre, 909 Woodlawn Ave.

The event includes 16 dances of various genres performed by Wittenberg students under the direction of Ligia Pinheiro, associate professor of theatre and dance. Thirty-seven students are involved in the production as both dancers and choreographers.

Members from the class of 2008 are Natalie Bacon from Avon Lake, Ohio; Kim Ingland from Obetz, Ohio; Sarah Kennedy from Cincinnati, Ohio; Zoe Lamberson from Canfield, Ohio; Jessica McKeller from Oregon, Ohio; Kara Beth Neike from Pickerington, Ohio; Renee Uhlmann from Columbia, Md.; Elissa Ward from Springfield, Ohio; and Kelly Jo Zink from St. Mary’s, Ohio.

Dancers from the class of 2009 include Blaire Butler from Cincinnati, Ohio; Jordan Davis from Maineville, Ohio; Allison Earhart from Muncie, Ind.; Caitlin Hedrick from Mantua, Ohio; Greta Hysjulien from White Bear Lake, Minn.; Hannah Johnson from Wauwatosa, Wisc.; Kelliea Johnson from Canton, Ohio; Rachel Lind from Gahanna, Ohio; Kyna McKinney from Gahanna, Ohio; Jennifer Petro from Louisville, Ky.; Abby Reese from London, Ohio; Amanda Wells from Findlay, Ohio; and Julie Ziegler from Sandusky, Ohio.

The class of 2010 features Erin Berger from Louisville, Ky.; Mandy Crosser from Marysville, Ohio; Kiara Heidenreich from Dayton, Ohio; Lisa Kroupa from Cridersville, Ohio; Sarah Larson from St. Louis, Mo.; Mandy Spellman from New Carlisle, Ohio; and Kai Wiesner-Hanks from Mequon, Wisc.

Finally, members from the class of 2011 include Mariah Bergeron from Berlin, N.H.; Lindgren Carson from Poland, Ohio; Maggie Muir from Canton, Ohio; Casey Schools from Worthington, Ohio; Courtney Resetar from Pittsburgh, Pa.; Lisa Tickel from Westerville, Ohio; Nicole Suzel from Springfield, Ohio; and Christopher Lowenfeld from Broadview Heights, Ohio.

Admission is $4, and tickets can be purchased at the service desk in the Benham-Pence Student Center or at Chakeres Theatre one hour before each performance. For ticket reservations, call (937) 327-7443.
