Wittenberg Union Board Hosts Annual
Lil' Sibs Weekend March 28-30

March 20, 2008

Wittenberg's Benham-Pence Student Center will be the
hub of 2008 Lil' Sibs Weekend activities.
Springfield, Ohio — While they are always welcome on campus, siblings, cousins and underage friends of Wittenberg students don't always have a weekend full of entertainment and activities. However, that is exactly what Wittenberg's Union Board has set up for them with the latest installment of Lil' Sibs Weekend March 28-30.

"We're looking forward to showing visitors what a great place Wittenberg is," said co-President of Union Board Kelly Eggers, class of 2009 from Rye, N.Y. "We've tried to fill this weekend with lots of activities and events that appeal to both siblings and students."

Themed "It's All Fun And Games," Lil' Sibs Weekend 2008 begins with check-in and registration at 3 p.m. Friday, March 28, in the Benham-Pence Student Center. Things start an installment of "Post It," a coffeehouse series that features student performances, hosted by the classes of 2009 and 2011 at 7:30 p.m. in Post 95. That will be followed by the first Lil' Sibs Weekend event, a game show titled "Are You Smarter Than Your Little Sib?" emceed by Pocket Lint, Wittenberg's improv troupe, at 9:30 p.m. in the Center Dining Room (CDR).

On Saturday, March 29, a carnival highlights the activities, starting at 11 a.m. in Pam Evans Smith Arena in the university's Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) Center. The carnival includes games, obstacle courses, rides, face-painting, balloon animals and other games and activities, and lunch will be served on site as well. Campus organizations are volunteering to staff the carnival events.

That night, the Norman Magic Experience with magician Norman Ng is scheduled for 9 p.m. in the CDR. In addition, Union Board and the Office of Residence Life are hosting movies in the residence halls and Wally's in the student center both Friday and Saturday, and the HPER Center facilities, including the natatorium, arena and racquetball courts, will be available on Saturday.

Registration costs $40 per visitor, which includes admission to all weekend events and three meals. The first 100 participants to register will get a backpack, and all participants will get a T-shirt.

Online registration is available. Payment can be mailed or arranged by calling Cathie Kuss, Wittenberg's scheduling coordinator, at (937) 327-7447. Registration will also be available on-site in the student center.
