Wittenberg Department Of Theatre And Dance
Presents Annual Fall Dance Concert

Springfield, Ohio — The Wittenberg University Department of Theatre and Dance presents its annual Fall Dance Concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 6-8, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, in Chakeres Memorial Theatre, 909 Woodlawn Ave. Directed by Associate Professor of Theatre and Dance Shih-Ming Li Chang, the concert includes dances in modern, jazz, hip hop and tap.

The majority of the dances are original, and the choreography was designed by students. In all, more than 40 students from a broad variety of academic disciplines will participate as choreographers or performers.

Choreographers include Lauren Butch from Bay Village, Ohio; Michelle Costello from Muncie, Ind.; Jordan Davis from Springfield, Ohio; Caitlin Hedrick from Solon, Ohio; Greta Hysjulien from White Bear Lake, Minn.; Kelliea Johnson from Canton, Ohio; Rachel Lind from Gahanna, Ohio; and Jennifer Petro from Louisville, Ky. – all members of the class of 2009. Lisa Kroupa from Cridersville, Ohio, and Sarah Larson from St. Louis, Mo., are from the class of 2010; and Topher Lowenfeld from Broadview Heights, Ohio, and Nicole Suzel from Springfield, Ohio, are from the class of 2011.

Performers from the class of 2009 include Blaire Butler and Meagan Toothman from Cincinnati, Ohio; Kyna McKinney from Gahanna, Ohio; Brad Seymour from Chillicothe, Ohio; Cassidy Short from Westlake, Ohio; Amanda Wells from Findlay, Ohio; and Julie Ziegler from Sandusky, Ohio.

Performers from the class of 2010 are Jessica Bailey from Greenville, Ohio; Erin Berger from Louisville, Ky.; Brittany Gordon from Los Altos, Calif.; Kiara Keidenreich from Dayton, Ohio; Elizabeth Roby from London, Ohio; Mandy Spellman from New Carlisle, Ohio; and Sarah Umberger from Concord, N.H.

Performers from the class of 2011 are Lindgren Carson from Poland, Ohio; Whitnee Dickson from Delaware, Ohio; Maggie Muir from Canton, Ohio; Nicole Niese from Fort Wayne, Ind.; Tina Pennock from Centerville, Ohio; and Courtney Resetar from Pittsburgh, Pa.

Performers from the class of 2012 are Casey Browder from Shelbyville, Ind.; Lauren Hura from Upper Arlington, Ohio; Emily Kula from Medina, Ohio; Isabelle Beegle-Levin from Hollidaysburg, Pa.; Courtney Sumner from Cincinnati, Ohio; Elizabeth Tackett from Barberton, Ohio; and Annalise VonderEmbse from Ottawa, Ohio.

School of Community Education performers include Wendi Richardson from South Charleston, Ohio, and Philip Smyth from Dayton, Ohio.

Martha Sawicki, class of 2011 from Buffalo, N.Y., is the stage manager, and Evan Smith, class of 2009 from Bloomfield Hills, Mich., is the assistant stage manager.

Admission is $4, and tickets can be purchased at the service desk in the Benham-Pence Student Center or at Chakeres Memorial Theatre one hour before each performance. For ticket reservations, call (937) 327-7443.
