Directed by Pamela Hill, adjunct instructor of theatre and dance, the play is described as a "comedy/spoof/farce, detective mystery, spy story, romance and modern fable." The events take place during the week of Wednesday, Oct. 29, to Tuesday, Nov. 4, 1952, and the plotline carries five plots: a spy story that involves conveying top secret H-bomb plants to the Soviets; a murder mystery that deals with a dead body found on a Boston fishing pier; and three love stories – each of the five plots continues to intertwine until the final scene, when all collide.
Eight actors have been cast in 18 roles, including Amber Bodi, class of 2010 from Grand Rapids, Ohio; Jessica Bruce, class of 2010 from Worthington, Ohio; Paden Frank, class of 2010 from Groveport, Ohio; Hollie Hongosh, class of 2010 from Olmsted Falls, Ohio; Adam Paine, class of 2012 from Bedford, Mich.; Roxie Patton, class of 2008 from Jackson, Ohio; Alex Potapenko, class of 2009 from Brecksville, Ohio; and Collin Wenzell, class of 2010 from Half Moon Bay, Calif.
Crew Members are Hannah Blechman, class of 2012 from Fairfax Station, Va., Tatiana deVoogd, class of 2012 from Louisville, Ky.; Ryann Greenberg, class of 2012 from Carmel, Ind.; Ben Johnson, class of 2012 from Cincinnati, Ohio; Laura Kay, class of 2012 from Olmsted Township, Ohio; Amy Rissolo, class of 2012 from Darien, Conn.; and Paul Weber, class of 2010 from Somonauk, Ill.
Hill received her bachelor of arts in theatre from Otterbein College and a master of arts in theatre from Bowling Green State University. She received training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, England, and at the Actor's Theatre of Louisville in Louisville, Ky., and she has received several Central Ohio Theatre Roundtable awards.
Tickets will go on sale for $4 on Monday, April 6, at the Student Service Center, Benham-Pence Student Center. Tickets will also be available at the theatre box office prior to each performance. The public is welcome to attend.
