Wally Witt will have plenty of company by August, and Springfield retailers, restaurantuers and others are invited to tap into the student market at the second annual Passport to Springfield event. |
Passport to Springfield was created to allow Wittenberg students the opportunity to explore and celebrate the city. Vendors, including restaurants, retailers and businesses that provide assorted services, have been invited to set up display tables as a method of free marketing to the hundreds of Wittenberg students who frequent the student center each day.
"The Passport to Springfield Event is just a wonderful opportunity for the community to come out and meet our students and for the students to see some of the great things Springfield has to offer," said Administrative Director of The Center Stephanie McCuistion.
Businesses interested in participating can still register for the event by contacting the Center for Civic & Urban Engagement at (937) 327-7936 or via e-mail at mlynch@wittenberg.edu. There is no cost to attend, but vendors must be registered prior to the event.
