The Chamber Orchestra is scheduled to perform Sunday, Nov. 22.
Springfield, Ohio — Wittenberg's Department of Music is going full steam ahead into a busy month of November.

Starting off the month is a General Student Recital at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, in Krieg Hall. Lauren Kelly, class of 2012 from Springfield, Ohio, will sing soprano, accompanied by Diane Slagle, pianist.

The Guest Artist Recital of the month features Central State University Assistant Professor of Music Jenny Cruz, who will perform a piano recital at 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, in Krieg Hall. Cruz's program will be a varied one of late 19th and 20th century works, including compositions by women composers. The Department of Music will host a short reception following the recital, also in Krieg Hall.

A Faculty Artist Recital at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, in Weaver Chapel, features two professors, who have invited two Wittenberg students and a Wittenberg graduate to participate in the concert with them. Professor of Music Daniel Kazez will play the cello and Professor of Music Donald Busarow will play the organ. Olivia Guetle, class of 2012 from Mansfield, Ohio, and Rachel Lee, class of 2012 from Hickory, N.C., will both play the cello. Olivia Guetle’s mother, Janet, Wittenberg class of 1982, will provide piano accompaniment.

The Jazz Ensemble, directed by Adjunct Instructor of Music Adam McCord, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, in Ness Family Auditorium in Wittenberg's Hollenbeck Hall.

The first Senior Recital of the year features Ben Williams, class of 2010 from Louisville, Ky., playing the oboe at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, in Krieg Hall.
