Springfield, Ohio — Reflecting its longstanding commitment to service and tradition of giving back, Wittenberg University will change the lives of four young children Sunday, Nov. 8, as part of the hit ABC TV show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, which recently built the Terpenning family of Beavercreek, Ohio, a brand-new home.

The episode, which was filmed in August, will air nationally at 8 p.m. (EST) on ABC. Closer to Wittenberg, Dayton's ABC affiliate, WKEF Channel 22, will have a special pre-show beginning at 7:30 p.m. with a post-show program planned for 11:30 p.m. The latter show will include a brief interview with Wittenberg President Mark H. Erickson.

A campus-wide viewing is being planned in a newly renovated venue on campus called Founders in the lower level of the Benham-Pence Student Center. Those attending can also enjoy nearby Doppelganger's, the university's new game room during the airing. Light refreshments will be provided.

Wittenberg University is a nationally recognized college for the liberal arts and sciences affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. With more than 50 majors and programs, Wittenberg challenges students to become responsible global citizens, to discover their callings, and to lead personal, professional, and civic lives of creativity, service, compassion, and integrity.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is an Emmy award-winning reality program now entering its seventh season and produced by Endemol USA, a division of Endemol Holding. It is executive-produced by Anthony Dominici. David Goldberg is chairman, Endemol North America. The show airs Sundays from 8-9 p.m., ET on ABC.
