Wittenberg Student Sculptors Present Exhibit of Works

Wittenberg University's Department of Art faculty members take pride in the creative talents and accomplishments of their students and enjoy sharing their successes with the community. Associate Professor of Art Ed Charney has arranged an exhibit of sculptures carved by students in his fall semester Sculpture I class through Friday, Dec. 18, in the Thompson Gallery, 106 Koch Hall.

Admission is free, and the gallery is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The sculptures were created from blocks of soapstone, and the subjects include realistic objects and abstract forms. Artists include Molly Dannaher class of 2010 from Galena, Ohio, Emily Dick, class of 2013 from West Bloomfield, Mich., Max Fleishman, class of 2013 from Yellow Springs, Ohio, Elizabeth Hastings, class of 2013 from Dayton, Ohio, Alexandra Horton, class of 2013 from Springfield, Ohio, Anna Kirkland, class of 2013 from Miriam, Kan., Abby Malcom, class of 2013 from Middletown, Ohio, Heather Roscow, class of 2010 from Gahanna, Ohio, Leslie Winter, class of 2013 from Holland, Mich., Maggie Yerke, class of 2013 from Columbus, Ohio, and Lisle Zeiler, class of 2013 from Sylvania, Ohio.
