It also marked another milestone in Coach Linda Arena's career as she notched her 250th victory. "Those wins were a product of very dedicated assistant coaches and tremendous player second efforts," Arena said. "Lots of people are a part of those wins. From Mark Goheen who gets our practice field ready for the tough away games, to the leadership role our captains have played on and off the field. You need a total program to win that many games." In her 24th year as a head coach, Arena's record is now 250-129-30, which includes eight years at Brockport State (N.Y.) where she had a 74-37-10 mark. In her 16 seasons at Wittenberg Arena has a 176-92-20 record. Arena is also the third winningest active coach in Division III field hockey in terms of victories. The Tigers are now 14-3 overall and 9-3 in the NCAC and next participate in the Midwest Field Hockey Coaches Association Tournament at DePauw University Saturday and Sunday. NCAA tournament bids will be announced Monday, Nov. 4. -30-
