After a string of two straight second place finishes in the NCAC, Wittenberg can take the title by itself with a victory at Earlham Tuesday. The victory also gave Coach Linda Arena her 249 career win so she can pick up milestone victory 250 at Earlham. ³It has been a dream of every recent field hockey player to win the NCAC title. Great heart made it come true for this particular team,² she said. ³What makes this a true Œteam championship¹ is that our depth chart was exhausted game after game. We needed everyone to contribute this year, and they did,² Arena added. The Tigers scored the only goal they need just 50 seconds into the match by Shannon Selby.
