SPRINGFIELD, Ohio--Three Wittenberg University field hockey players were selected second team All-NCAC for the 1999 season while two others earned honorable mention honors.
On the second team were sophomore attack Ashley Huslewede (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart), junior midfielder Tori Parisi (Kettering, Ohio/Fairmont) and senior back Noelle Bernabe (Lindenhurst, Ill./Antioch Community). Huslewede was the second leading scorer for the Tigers with seven goals and five assists. Parisi started 17 of 19 games for the Tigers and recorded four goals and two assists. A second team All-NCAC selection for the second time, Bernabe was also selected to play in the North-South Senior All-Star game.
Honorable mention selections for the Tigers were junior attack Kacy Heinmiller (Bexley, Ohio/Bexley) and senior back Kati Robbins (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton).
Under the direction of first year head coach Grace Caravaggio, the Tigers finished the season 10-9 overall and 6-6 in the NCAC. It was their 17th consecutive .500 or better season.
