CLEVELAND, Ohio — Wittenberg junior forward Boo Vernon (Lake Bluff, Ill./Cushing Academy) notched a pair of game-winners to help the Tigers to a 2-0 week and a share of first place in the North Coast standings. She scored twice in a 4-2 win over Ohio Wesleyan and added another tally in a 3-2 victory at Kenyon. If at least 400 students attend the Tigers' key NCAC game against defending champion Wooster, which is scheduled to start at noon Saturday, Oct. 10, at historic Edwards-Maurer Field, the friend of the team will make a $500 donation to the university's Department of Athletics and Recreation.
