Stephen Nevius

BEAVERCREEK, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers put two players in the top 10, led by individual medalist Stephen Nevius (Springfield, Ohio/Shawnee), at Cedarville's Yellow Jacket Fall Invitational.

The individual victory was the first of Nevius' collegiate career. The senior shot 79 in the first round and then carded a stellar 36 on the final nine to claim a one-stroke win.

Not far behind was freshman Jonny Price (Dublin, Ohio/Worthington Kilbourne), who matched Nevius with a 79 in the first round but followed that with a 41 to finish in a four-way tie for eighth place. Freshman Kyle Dickerson (Indianapolis, Ind./Ben Davis) was next for Wittenberg in 13th place. He shot Wittenberg's best first-round score (77), but he wound up with a 45 on the final nine.

Two other Tiger freshmen made their first collegiate appearances. Lane Craig (New Albany, Ohio/New Albany) finished 28th and Nick Hoch (Ashville, Ohio/Teays Valley) rounded things out in 39th.
