Rules and Regulations For Participation
in Wittenberg Intramurals

in Wittenberg Intramurals

- All currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff are eligible for competition.
- An individual may only participate with one specific team (as per the roster, prior to the season) per each season.
After playing in one contest with a team, that player may not transfer in that same sport or event.
- Members of Wittenberg University varsity and junior varsity teams are not eligible to participate in that sport until their final game of varsity competition has been completed.
- Any player who acts as a member of the college team for a minimum of one game (or scrimmage), and then becomes dropped, quits, or is released because of unprofessional behavior from a college sport, is not eligible for that sport during the same academic semester unless they have completed their final season of varsity competition (Fourth season).
- In the event that an individual or a team fails to appear at an appointed place within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time, the contest shall be declared forfeited to the individual or team that is on hand ready for participation.
- Protests must be presented in writing to the intramural director within 24 hours after the protest is announced. Protests are only valid based on eligibility, rules, or regulations infractions. Therefore no officials, umpires, or event staff judgement decisions or sportsmanship points can be protested. The intramurals director's decision will be final.
- The intramural director reserves the right to restrict competition of an organization or individual. The intramural director also reserves the right to suspend, disqualify, and eliminate any participant whose actions are deemed unsporstmanlike or a detriment to the quality of the intramural program.
- Leagues, tournaments, and scheduled events can be cancelled due to lack of entered participants. All entries must be turned in by assigned times and dates indicated through the intramurals office.
- Intramural champion T-shirts will be awarded to all individual and team member winners.
- All players must give college ID to score keepers before every game. No exceptions!
