John Carroll took the third place in the tournament by defeating Alma College in the Consolation game. John Carroll was led by freshman Brian Inglebright's 19 points. Drew Salata added 16 points for the Blue Devils. David Gibbons and Ryan Dolatowski chipped in 15 and 11, respectively. John Franks did an outstanding job on the boards, bringing in 11 rebounds. Salata also grabbed 9 rebounds.

Alma College was lead by sophomore Joe Baysdell scoring 13 points and grabbing 5 rebounds. Rob Taylor and Mike Borgert both added 9 points for the Scots. Also contributing in the scoring column were Josh Morgan, Cory Heitsch, and Eric Jones, all with 8 points.
