Wittenberg vs. Kenyon, April 22, 2000



Wittenberg came out strong in the first quarter scoring on their first three possessions. Alex Nichols had two goals. Justin Bitner and Billy Habermeyer each had a goal. Mario Cassani had two assists. Wittenberg's defense played well holding Kenyon to two goals. Wittenberg had a 4 – 2 lead.

Wittenberg continued to play well in the second quarter. Scoring five goals. Billy Habermeyer scored twice, Shawn Egan, Mario Cassani, and Todd dillon scored. Alex Nichols, Michael Stormshak, and Billy Habermeyer each had an assist. Wittenberg's defense continued to play strong, holding Kenyon to two goals for the quarter. Wittenberg had a 9 – 4 lead at the half.

Kenyon began to battle back in the third, scoring four goals. Wittenberg scored two goals, Dan Hillerich and Mario Cassani each had a goal. Wittenberg had a 11 – 8 lead at the end of the third.

Kenyon's offense scored three goals to tie the game. Wittenberg's Shawn Egan scored to give the Tiger's a 12 – 11 lead. Kenyon answered back to tie the game at 12 to end regulation. The game went to double overtime, Kenyon scored to win the game 13 – 12.
