Wittenberg vs. Wheeling Jesuit

Wittenberg hosted Wheeling Jesuit, WV. Wittenberg's offense came out firing from the first face off. The offense scored on three of it's first four shots. Todd Dillon, Billy Habermeyer, and Alex Nichols scored with assists by Alex Nichols and Nate Reed. Mark Azar scored an unassisted goal and Billy Habermeyer scored with an assist from Steele Crissman. The Tiger defense played strong, holding Wheeling to one goal in the first quarter. Wittenberg had a 5 ­ 1 lead.

Wittenberg's offense continued to play well in the second quarter. Alex Nichols scored unassisted. Shawn Egan scored a goal, assisted by Billy Habermeyer. The Tiger defense held Wheeling to one goal. Wittenberg had a 7 ­ 2 lead at the half.

The Tigers' offense and defense played strong in the third. Todd Dillon, Michael Stormshak, and Dan Patterson each scored a goal. Billy Habermeyer had 2 assists, Stephen Faust had an assist. Wittenberg's defense allowed one goal in the third. The scored at the end of the third was Wittenberg 10 , Wheeling 3.

Wittenberg's offense added four goals in the fourth with Stephen Faust scoring two goals. Dan Patterson and Shawn Egan each scored a goal. Billy Habermeyer, Nate Reed, and Dan Patterson each had an assist. The Tiger defense allowed three goals. Wittenberg won the game 14 ­ 6.
