Wittenberg at Wooster, April 15, 2000



Wittenberg traveled to Wooster to play for the second time this season. Wittenberg came out firing and scored three goals on shots from Shawn Egan, with assists by Michael Stormshack, Stephen Faust, and Mario Cassani. Wittenberg's defense played strong holding Wooster to one goal in the first quarter. Wittenberg had a 3 – 1 lead.

In the second quarter Wittenberg continued to play well. The offense added four goals. Nate Reed scored a goal unassisted. Michael Stormshack scored a goal assisted by Nate Reed. Mario Cassini had two goals, assisted by Shawn Egan and Billy Habermeyer. Wittenberg's defense held Wooster to one goal in the second quarter. Wittenberghad a 7 – 2 lead at the half.

The third quarter saw Wittenberg add two more goals. Mario Cassani scored unassisted. Stephen Faust scored a goal, assisted by Michael Stormshack. Wittenberg's defense held Wooster scoreless in the third. Wittenberg led 9 – 2.

During the fourth quarter, both teams scored. Wittenberg's offense added three goals. Mario Cassani and Stephen Faust scored, assisted by Carmine Baroni and Billy Habermeyer. Shannon Miller scored the Tiger's last goal. Wittenberg's defense allowed Wooster to score three goals of their own. Wittenberg won the game 11 – 5.
