SPRINGFIELD, Ohio-- Two Wittenberg University soccer players were selected first team All-North Coast Athletic Conference for their performances this season. Senior co-captains John Rieppel (Alexandria, Ohio/Granville) and Chris MacLaren (Indianapolis, Ind./Park Tudor) were selected to the first team after receiving second team all-conference honors last season.
Rieppel recorded six goals and two assists this season and MacLaren added four goals and six assists for the Tigers. Earning honorable mention honors for the Tigers was junior Matt Brewer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Turpin). Brewer was the team leader in goals and assists with seven apiece.
Wittenberg, under the direction of head coach Steve Dawson, finished the season with a 9-7-2 overall mark and a 4-3-2 conference record to tie for third in the NCAC.
