Wittenberg Falls At NCAC Rival Ohio Wesleyan

Brad Seymour
DELAWARE, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers lost a grudge match against North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) rival Ohio Wesleyan, falling 6-3 in a rematch of a competition won by the Tigers last fall.

The loss dropped the Tigers to 3-8 overall and 2-6 in the NCAC heading into their final regular season match of the season at Wooster on Saturday. Ohio Wesleyan, which dropped a 5-4 decision at Wittenberg's Albright Tennis Complex last September, improved to 6-10 overall and 1-6 in the conference.

The star of the day for Wittenberg was junior Brad Seymour (Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe), who claimed a straight sets win at No. 1 singles and teamed with freshman Robert Fisher (Gahanna, Ohio/Lincoln) to claim a win at No. 1 doubles. Wittenberg's other point was scored by the No. 2 doubles tandem of sophomore Rob Lehner (Gahanna, Ohio/DeSales) and sophomore Craig Lods (Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe).
