DELAWARE, Ohio - The shorthanded Wittenberg Tiger track teams turned in a pair of respectable finishes at the 2008 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Outdoor Championships, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan. The men moved up to sixth in the final standings after standing seventh after Day 1, while the women landed in seventh after starting Day 2 in sixth place.

Four Tiger student-athletes earned All-NCAC honors in recognition of top three finishes in their respective events. Senior Allison Walker (Columbus, Ohio/Academy) rounded out her career with a second-place finish in the hammer throw, freshman Kaitlynn Wesseler (Huber Heights, Ohio/Wayne) finished third in the women's pole vault, junior Ryan Resides (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota East) placed third in the javelin and junior Erik Larkin (Cincinnati, Ohio/Country Day) added a tie for third in the high jump.

Larkin was the top scorer for the men's team as he added fifth-place finishes in the triple jump and the long jump. In addition, sophomore Adam Roberts (Springfield, Ohio/Shawnee) placed fifth in the 110-meter hurdles and fourth in the 400-meter hurdles.

Walker added a fourth in the shot put and a sixth in the discus. She scored 16 of the Tigers' 30 team points.
