News Release: Four Tigers Earn All-NCAC Outdoor Honors![]() |
CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Ohio Wesleyan men won their fifth team title, and first since 2001, at the NCAC Championships, held at Ohio Wesleyan on May 1-2. The Battling Bishops captured eight first and 12 other top-three finishes to total 236 points and outdistance five-time defending champion Allegheny (150), Wabash (148.5), Oberlin (74) and Wooster (59) in the men’s field. The Allegheny women claimed their 13th NCAC crown with 268 points. Defending champion Ohio Wesleyan wound up second with 199 points, followed by Oberlin (134), Wooster (86) and Denison (50). Tiger Track Teams Finish In Middle Of Outdoor NCAC Meet Pack![]() |
DELAWARE, Ohio — The shorthanded Wittenberg Tiger track teams turned in a pair of respectable finishes at the 2008 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Outdoor Championships, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan. DELAWARE, Ohio — The Wittenberg track and field teams may not have torn up the track as a team at the All-Ohio Invitational at Ohio Wesleyan this weekend, but several individual performances were nothing short of impressive, facing off against a majority of the NCAA Division III schools located in Ohio. A successful All-Ohio Invitational delivered a new school record time in both the men's distance medley relay and the men's 800-meter run, making it a banner day for junior Gabe Savage (Lewisburg, Ohio/Tri-County North).
