Golf Outing Set For June 12
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - For the sixth consecutive year, the Wittenberg University football program is hosting a golf outing to raise funds for the program. This year's event is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, at Reid Memorial Golf Course in Springfield. Lunch and registration begin at noon.
The event will be a four-person scramble with a shotgun start, and it will include prizes, raffles, dinner and awards. Prizes will be awarded for longest drive, closest to the pin, closest to the helmet, longest putt, lowest team score and a putting contest. Cost for participation is $75 for those who pre-register, $85 on the day of the outing, and $50 for those only attending the dinner. All proceeds from this year's event will go toward the purchase of audio-visual equipment, computer software and field equipment for the football program.
Event sponsorships are also available. Hole sponsorships are $100, hole sponsorship and a door prize is $300, hole sponsorship, door prize and sponsor plaque is $500 and hole sponsorship, door prize, sponsor plaque and game program advertisement is $1,000.
