The Wittenberg University men’s and women’s basketball teams welcome an outstanding field of eight teams for the 2005 Charles B. Zimmerman Memorial Classic. The Wittenberg University men's and women's soccer teams put together outstanding, almost parallel, 2005 seasons, reaching the four-team tournament field in the extremely competitive North Coast Athletic Conference before falling in the semifinals against the nationally ranked No. 1 seeded team. Volleyball Team Selected To Host NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Tournament
The Wittenberg University volleyball team, ranked sixth in the nation after a tremendous 30-4 record in the regular season, has earned the opportunity to play in the NCAA Division III Tournament for the 11 th time in school history and the 10th year in a row. Volleyball Team Earns Team Academic Award Again
Wittenberg University's volleyball team was one of 274 high school and college programs to earn the 2004-05 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award. The award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors mens and womens college and high school teams that display excellence in the classroom by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale and a 4.10 cumulative team GPA on a 5.0 scale during the school year. North Coast Athletic Conference and University Athletic Association Announce Historic Football Scheduling Agreement
The North Coast Athletic Conference and the University Athletic Association, two NCAA Division III athletic Conferences, announced a historic football scheduling agreement today. The two Conferences have agreed to play each other in a non-conference football scheduling agreement, which will begin in the fall of 2008 and continue through 2009. Nineteen games involving NCAC-UAA matchups are scheduled for 2008 and the home sites will flip for the same 19 matchups the following year. Read More...

Wittenberg University women's soccer standout Meghan O'Rourke, class of 2008, attended the eighth annual NCAA Foundation Leadership Conference May 29-June 2 at the Coronado Springs Resort and Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. It is the fourth straight year that a Wittenberg student has attended the conference, although O'Rourke was the first female and first underclassman to represent the university at an event that draws more than 350 student-athletes each year from across the country. Baseball Standout Kurt Hartfelder Picked First In 2005 Frontier League Draft
Just two weeks after he thought his baseball career had come to a close, Wittenberg University baseball standout Kurt Hartfelder, class of 2004, got one of those rare second chances in life. Men's Basketball Gains NCAA Division III Tournament Berth
At the risk of getting ahead of oneself, it may be a case of deja vu all over again. The Wittenberg Tigers, fresh off their fifth North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament championship ­ gained with an exhilarating 61-59 victory over No. 1 ranked Wooster on Saturday, have been given a first-round bye in the 2005 NCAA Division III Tournament.
