Of Summer Sports Camps In 2006

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — As usual, summer will be a busy time around the Wittenberg University athletic complex. Eight different Wittenberg varsity athletic teams - men's basketball, women's basketball, field hockey, football, men's lacrosse, men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball - as well as the cheerleading squad, a club sport at Wittenberg, are sponsoring summer camps this year.

The men's basketball program is hosting individual skill instruction camps June 18-21 and July 16-19, team camps June 15-16 and June 26-27 and one-day varsity shootouts June 24 and July 22. For more information, contact Head Coach Bill Brown by phone at (937) 327-6454 or by e-mail.
The women's basketball program is hosting an individual skills camp July 2-5, a junior varsity shootout July 1, a junior high shootout July 6 and a varsity shootout July 7-8. For more information, contact Head Coach Pam Smith by phone at (937) 327-6463 or by e-mail.
The cheerleading program is hosting a summer camp July 30-Aug. 2. For more information, contact the Department of Athletics at (937) 327-6489.

The football program is hosting an individual skills camp June 5-7 and a 7-on-7 team camp July 8. Men's soccer Head Coach Steve Dawson is hosting five Great Britain Buckeye Soccer Camps this summer in three different locations. Camps will take place at Wittenberg June 19-23 and July 10-14, in Kettering June 26-30 and July 17-21 and in Wapakoneta July 24-28. The volleyball program is hosting a variety of summer camps. A skills camp is scheduled for June 11-13, a passing/defensive clinic will take place Aug. 2, a hitting clinic is slated for Aug. 3, a setter's clinic is set for Aug. 4, a high school junior varsity camp will take place July 9-11 and a high school varsity camp is on the calendar for July 12-14.
