SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The Wittenberg University men's and women's basketball teams welcome an outstanding field of eight teams for the 2007 Charles B. Zimmerman Memorial Classic. The competition is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 28, and Saturday, Dec. 29, at Wittenberg's HPER Center Arena with games on both days scheduled for 12:30, 2:45, 5:30 and 7:45 p.m.

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – A member of the Wittenberg University women's basketball family is returning to her roots as Sarah Jurewicz, class of 1998 and the program's all-time leading scorer, takes the head coaching reins at her alma mater for the 2007-08 season. SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Wittenberg University's volleyball team was one of 303 high school and college programs to earn the 2006-07 GamePlan/American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award. The award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, annually honors men's and women's college and high school teams that display excellence in the classroom by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale or a 4.10 cumulative team GPA on a 5.0 scale during the school year.

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – A solid 2006-07 winter sports season wrapped up for the Wittenberg University Tigers over the last two weeks as the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) awarded 19 Wittenberg student-athletes with postseason honors.
