Wittenberg's HPER Center figures to be filled again on Saturday, Jan. 19, when arch-rival Wooster comes calling.
Springfield, Ohio — Wittenberg University and the College of Wooster, which currently share first place in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) men's basketball standings, will renew their spirited rivalry at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19. Tickets for the game at Pam Evans Smith Arena in Wittenberg's Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) Center are in high demand, resulting in changes to Wittenberg's normal ticketing policies.

Tickets are only available during specified box office hours, and all ticket sales will be for reserved seats. Wittenberg students, faculty and staff will not be able to acquire complimentary tickets after 2 p.m. the day of the game.

Tickets will be sold in the HPER Center between the hours of 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 16. Tickets will go on sale again from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17, and Friday, Jan. 18. On game day, tickets will be sold from noon to 2 p.m. and also from 4:30 p.m. until the game tips off at 7:30 p.m.

Wittenberg students, faculty and staff will only be able to pick up their complimentary tickets before 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19. After that time, all tickets must be purchased at regular price. The general public is free to purchase tickets during any box office hours.

Ticket prices are $8 for adults and $5 for seniors, students and children. Pre-school-age children and younger will be admitted for free, but only with a special ticket, which can be picked up with other ticket purchases. Any questions can be answered by calling Wittenberg's Department of Athletics at (937) 327-6489.

In addition, an allotment of tickets only for Wooster fans went on sale at the College of Wooster today.

The Scots and Tigers are currently tied for first place in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC), heading into games on Wednesday, Jan. 17, against Hiram and Earlham, respectively. Wooster, which is 11-2 overall and 4-0 in the NCAC after winning the conference's regular season title each of the last three years, ranks 20th in the nation.

Wittenberg, NCAC Tournament champion two of the last three years, is 8-5 overall, including a 4-0 mark in the NCAC. The two teams split last season's series, with each team stealing a win on the other's home court. One of the two teams has won the NCAC regular season title every year since 1989. The Scots and the Tigers will meet again on Saturday, Feb. 16, at Wooster's Timken Gymnasium.
