Springfield, Ohio — As usual, summer will be a busy time around the Wittenberg University athletics complex in 2008. Twelve different Wittenberg varsity athletic teams – men's basketball, women's basketball, field hockey, football, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, men's soccer, women's soccer, softball, tennis, track and field, and volleyball – are sponsoring summer camps this year.

The men's basketball program is hosting individual skill instruction camps June 15-18 and July 13-16, a big man/point guard specialty camp June 19-20, junior high and freshman team camps June 12-13 and June 23-24, a varsity team shootout June 21, varsity and junior varsity team camps June 26-27 and a varsity shootout July 19. Finally, the volleyball program is hosting a variety of summer camps. An all-skills camp for players in grades 4-8 and an advanced skills camp for players in grades 9-12 is scheduled for June 8-10, a passing/defensive clinic for players in grades 4-12 will take place July 29, a hitting clinic for players in grades 4-12 is slated for July 30, a setter's clinic is set for July 31, a high school junior varsity camp will take place July 6-8 and a high school varsity camp is on the calendar for July 9-11.
