Wittenberg Hosts Wide Range Of
Summer Sports Camps in 2009

Volleyball Head Coach Paco Labrador is one of nine Wittenberg coaches organizing 2009 summer camps.
Springfield, Ohio — As usual, summer will be a busy time around the Wittenberg University athletics complex in 2009. Eight different Wittenberg varsity athletic teams – men's basketball, women's basketball, football, women's lacrosse, men's soccer, women's soccer, tennis and volleyball – are sponsoring summer camps this year.

The men's basketball program is hosting individual skill instruction camps June 14-17 and July 19-22, a big man/point guard specialty camp June 18-19, junior high and freshman team camps June 11-12 and June 22-23, varsity team shootouts on June 20 and July 18, and varsity and junior varsity team camps June 25-26. The women's basketball program is hosting an individual skills camp June 28-30, a position-specific two-day clinic July 1-2, a beginning basketball clinic July 1-2, and a team shootout June 27. For more information, contact Head Coach Sarah Jurewicz by phone at (937) 327-6457 or by e-mail.

The football program is hosting a 7-on-7 passing league July 13-15, the Tiger Junior Camp June 29-July 1 and an offensive skills positions camp July 18. For more information, contact Head Coach Joe Fincham by phone at (937) 327-6498 or by e-mail.

The women's lacrosse program is a hosting summer camp June 15-18. For more information, contact Head Coach Kati Robbins by phone at (937) 327-6490 or by e-mail.

Men's soccer Head Coach Steve Dawson is hosting three Buckeye Summer Camps in two different locations. Camps will take place at Wittenberg June 15-19 and July 6-10 and in Dublin with Team Ohio F.C. July 13-17. For more information, contact Dawson by phone at (937) 327-6456 or by e-mail.

Finally, the volleyball program is hosting a variety of team and individual summer camps. A three-day team camp is scheduled for July 5-7, one-day team skills clinics are set for July 8, 9 and 10, a 6th-8th grade skills camp June 7-9, a 9th-12th grade advanced skills camp June 7-9, a passing/defense clinic July 28, a hitting clinic July 29 and a setting clinic July 30.
