SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — Amanda Snider is joining the Wittenberg women’s soccer program as an assistant coach, after a four-year playing career at The University of Findlay, an NCAA Division II school. While at Findlay, she played on teams that compiled an overall 51-31-4 record. This includes a 1997 team that was one of 16 teams to earn a trip to the NAIA National Tournament in San Antonio, Texas. In 1999, she was named to the All-GLIAC Academic Team.

"I’m excited that Amanda will be joining out staff," said Head Women's Soccer Coach Fran Kulas. "She has a passion for coaching, and that is the first quality I look for in an assistant coach. Amanda will be involved in all aspects of our program immediately. She will be available for our spring matches, and she will begin recruiting this spring as we look to identify players for the Wittenberg class of 2005."

Amanda has been an assistant coach in the Olympic Development Program for the Ohio South Dayton District, and she currently holds a USSF National "D" coaching license.

A native of Dayton, Ohio, Amanda attended Wayne High School, earning All-Western Ohio League and all-area honors during her junior and senior seasons.

"I’m positive that Amanda will have a positive impact on the future of our program," said Coach Kulas. "Because of her playing background, she will be able to relate to our current players immediately, and her coaching roots in Dayton will help broaden our recruiting options."
