The Wittenberg University athletic community is grieving this week as the loss of former All-America running back Jon Warga sets in. A 1991 Wittenberg graduate and the holder of several school rushing records, Warga died unexpectedly over the weekend at his home in Skippack, Pa., a suburb of Philadelphia.
Services for Warga, the Mike Gregory Award winner as the North Coast Athletic Conference's offensive player of the year in 1990, are scheduled for 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 21 at St. Agatha Church in Upper Arlington. St. Agatha is located at 1860 Nathan Rd. in Upper Arlington, about 2-3 miles east of Route 270 on Fishinger Rd. From Fishinger Rd., take a right on Tremont Rd. until it intersects with Nathan Rd.
