MAURER TO HEAD SPORTS INFORMATION EFFORT AT WITTENBERG UNIVERSITY
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - Ryan Maurer has joined Wittenberg University as Sports Information Director.
A 1994 graduate of Miami University in English literature/journalism, Maurer also holds a master of education/sports management from Cleveland State University. He has previously worked as a sports writer with Suburban News Publications in Columbus and later with The Daily Record in Wooster. Most recently, he served as editor for Spectrum Publications and the North Central Business Journal, a monthly business publication based in Orrville, Ohio. Ryan moves to Springfield with his wife, Heather, from North Canton, Ohio. He will work closely with the public relations office and the athletic department to promote events, activities and the 22 men's and women's sports competing for Wittenberg in the NCAA's Division III.
