Wittenberg University to Host Summer Sports Camps

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - A majority of the students who make Wittenberg University a lively and entertaining place will be elsewhere this summer. But that hardly means that the Wittenberg campus will be without life and the sounds of young people hard at work - and play.

Eight different athletic teams at Wittenberg are sponsoring summer camps this year - men's basketball, women's basketball, field hockey, football, men's lacrosse, men's soccer, men's and women's swimming and diving and volleyball. In addition, Wittenberg will be hosting a National Youth Sports Program for the second consecutive year.

The men's basketball program is hosting individual skill instruction camps June 16-20 and July 14-18, team camps June 12-14, June 24-26 and June 27-28 and one-day varsity shootouts June 15 and 29. The women's basketball program is hosting individual skills camp July 7-11, day camp July 8-11, junior varsity team camp July 6 and varsity team camp July 12-13.
