| Wittenberg Football to make another appearance on Time Warner Cable in Dayton | ||

Posted October 17 2001, 04:38 pm Posted by: Ryan Maurer SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Wittenberg University football team will make its second appearance on Time Warner Cable in the Dayton area this week when its game against Ohio Wesleyan University is taped for re-broadcast. The game is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 20 at 1 p.m. at Edwards-Maurer Field in Springfield.
The Wittenberg-Ohio Wesleyan football game will be cablecast at 10p.m., Saturday, Oct. 20, at 9:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 22 and at 10 p.m. or immediately following the Dayton Mayoral Debate on Thursday, Oct. 25. The game can be found on Time Warner Cable systems on channel 25 or 69 in Dayton, channel 30 in the Dayton suburbs, and channel 59 in communities further north. Subscribers are encouraged to check their local listings.
The winner of this year's game between the Battling Bishops of Ohio Wesleyan and the Tigers of Wittenberg will go a long way toward determining the 2001 North Coast Athletic Conference champion. Wittenberg, which is seeking its fifth consecutive league title in 2001, is off to a 6-1 start, including a 4-0 mark in the NCAC. Ohio Wesleyan, which was picked to finish fourth in the media preseason poll, has burst out of the gates to a 6-0 overall record and 3-0 mark within the conference. The Tigers are ranked No. 15 in the latest American Football Coaches Association poll, while OWU has moved up to No. 18 in the poll with its perfect start.
