Head coach Becky Hall took over the Wittenberg softball program in 1999 and produced immediate results.
In 2000, Hall steered the Tigers to their first-ever NCAC Championship, as well as their first NCAA Division III Championship Appearance, winning the first Division III NCAA game in school history, by finishing the season at 31-14. After leading the Tigers to their best finish in school history, Hall earned NCAC Coach of the Year. In 2003, the Tigers added to Hall's long list of accomplishments by finishing second in the NCAC and then winning the conference tournament for the first time in school history. In that year's NCAA Division III Tournament, the Tigers won an opening round game for the first time in school history.
Hall graduated from nearby Urbana University in 1997 after playing four seasons of softball as a second baseman. She was named All-Mid-Ohio Conference in both 1996 and 1997. Hall also served as a team captain in those years as well. A native of Springfield, Hall began her softball coaching career at Wittenberg in 1998 as an assistant.
In addition to her duties as head softball coach, Hall served as assistant coach for the Tiger field hockey team from 2000-02, working primarily with the goalkeepers. She has given private hitting and defensive lessons to girls for even yea. Hall also helps coach the Miami Valley Xpress summer softball team and has conducted various camps and clinics to help enhance and encourage girls in the Greater Miami Valley to play softball and improve their skills. She has also given back to the community through her involvement in the National Youth Sports Program (NYSP) at Wittenberg in 2001 and 2002 for Springfield area children.
Hall, who also serves as Wittenberg's director of club sports and intramurals, resides in Dayton.
Assistant Coach: Jessica Deere

Jessica Deere joined the Tigers coaching staff in 2005.
She joined the Tigers after a four-year playing career at Defiance College. For the Jackets, Deere was a catcher and outfielder who served as team captain in 2004. That year, she helped lead the Jackets win a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship and make their first-ever NCAA Division III Tournament appearance.
A Springfield Catholic Central graduate, Deere competed in volleyball and softball, earning all-conference and all-district awards in softball.
In addition to her duties as assistant coach, Deere serves as assistant sports information director at Wittenberg. She resides in Urbana.
