Emily Bell
MEADVILLE, Pa. - The Wittenberg Tigers continued their march through the 2006 North Coast Athletic Conference season, easily topping host Allegheny, 3-0.

The win set the stage for a huge match Saturday at Hiram, the 2005 NCAC regular season champion and the 17th ranked team in the nation. The Terriers are a 16-1 on the season, while the 12th-ranked Tigers are 16-4 - with all four losses coming against teams currently ranked in the top 25.

Junior outside hitter Emily Bell (Ft. Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran) led the way for the Tigers with 10 kills and four aces. She was joined on the offensive end by sophomores Brittany Steinbrecher (Delaware, Ohio/Hayes) and Jackie Williams (Rocky River, Ohio/Magnificat) with eight kills apiece.

Defensively, the leaders were junior middle hitter Caitlin Augustus (Springfield, Ohio/Shawnee) with six blocks and sophomore libero Laura Fender (Toledo, Ohio/St. Ursula) with 20 digs.
