Wittenberg Sweeps Oberlin In NCAC Action

Leslie Clark
OBERLIN, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers emptied the bench on Friday night, giving some valued reserves their opportunity to shine in a 3-0 victory over the Oberlin Yeowomen.

The Tigers swept the match by scores of 30-14, 30-22, 30-21 to improve to 11-4 overall and 3-0 in the North Coast Athletic Conference. In addition, freshman outside hitter Laura Schumaker (Springfield, Ohio/Shawnee) added seven kills and freshman outside hitter Alison Thompson (Parkersburg, W.Va./Parkersburg) chipped in with six kills.

Distributing the ball was freshman setter Kendall Obreza (Gainesville, Fla./Oak Hall), who finished with 32 assists.
