SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The No. 2 seeded Hiram Terriers, ranked 19th in the nation, advanced to their fourth straight North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Tournament championship match with a 3-0 win over No. 3 seed Wooster in Pam Evans Smith Arena in Wittenberg's HPER Center.

The win moved the Terriers into Saturday's title match against No. 1 seed Wittenberg, the 2007 NCAC regular season champion and the top-ranked team in all of NCAA Division III. Hiram, which lost twice during the regular season to Wittenberg after upsetting the Tigers on their home floor a year ago, improved to 27-4 overall after posting a 12-2 record in the NCAC. Wooster closed out its season with records of 15-14 overall and 10-4 in the conference.

All three games were close into the late stages before the Terriers slowly pulled away. The difference was Hiram's attack percentage, which was .266 after 52 kills and 14 errors were the end result of 143 total attacks. Sarah Schoenhagen and Megan Taylor finished with 12 kills each to lead the way for the Terriers.

While Wooster libero Ali Drushal finished with a team-high 24 digs and Megan Earle added 15, the Terriers were efficient enough offensively. Their defense was paced by Wendy Birchfield with 25 digs, while Brittany Mayle added three blocks to her three kills and team-high 24 assists.

The Scots were led offensively by setter Heather Wolff, who contributed 28 assists and five kills and a .500 attack percentage. KateLynn Riley led Wooster with nine kills.
