If scoring at home, that makes 38 straight games won for the Tigers as they swept past Ohio Wesleyan for the second time in the 2007 season by scores of 30-19, 30-18, 30-23. Overall, Wittenberg's record stands at 24-0, including a mark of 8-0 in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC).
The leader both offensively and defensively for Wittenberg was two-time honorable mention All-American Emily Bell (Fort Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran), who contributed 15 kills and 16 digs to the winning effort. She got a boost on offense by fellow senior outside hitter Jan Kehres (Alliance, Ohio/Alliance), who finished with eight kills.
The defense was also lifted by the play of senior middle hitter Caitlin Augustus (Springfield, Ohio/Shawnee), who topped the squad with four blocks.
