CLEVELAND, Ohio — Wittenberg's Stephanie Boardman (Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley), a 5-11, junior post, was named the Jackie Ammons Memorial Tournament MVP after she scored 52 points in the two Tiger victories. Boardman posted a career-high 29 points in the semifinals, and added 23 in the championship game. In addition, she finished with six steals, four assists and 14 rebounds while playing more than 30 minutes in each game as Wittenberg topped Salem, 95-66, then host Peace, 69-54, in the final. One of the more prominent ones was to play basketball for the legendary Pam Smith. Less than a year after Smith passed away, Dixon and field hockey standout Whitney Marshall, class of 2009 from Barre, Mass., are the first recipients of awards from the Pam Evans Smith '82 Memorial Scholarship.
