UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers put the finishing touches on the fall portion of the 2007-08 season with a fifth-place finish in the eight-team John Carroll Invitational.

Otterbein won the tournament, held Sunday, Oct. 14, at Fowler's Mill Golf Course in Chesterland, Ohio. The Cardinals carded a team score of 340, followed by Ohio Northern (342), John Carroll (376), Washington & Jefferson (382), Wittenberg (386), Mount Union (388), Baldwin-Wallace (390) and Denison (417).

The Tigers were paced by freshman Anna Bencriscutto (Oro Valley, Ariz./Ironwood Ridge), who posted a score of 86, while junior Jennifer Petro (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart) was the only other Wittenberg player to break 100 as she carded a 92. Bencriscutto's score placed her in the top 10 of the individual standings, while Petro's was good for a top-20 finish.
