Diana Kuser arrived at Wittenberg in February 2005, replacing Kiki Chesterton, who spent one season patrolling the Edwards-Maurer Field sidelines. Kuser is Wittenberg's head coach for field hockey and will serve as the interim head coach for women's lacrosse in 2006.

Kuser was an assistant field hockey coach at Kenyon College in 2004, an NCAC member like Wittenberg. Also a field hockey assistant at Kenyon in 2002, Kuser helped the Ladies to a second-place finish in the NCAC regular season standings and a 14-5 overall record, tying the school record for wins in a season.

Kuser earned a degree in English from The Ohio State University in 2002. She was a four-time Great Lakes Regional All-American, a three-time All-Big Ten selection and won the respect of her peers as a team captain two straight years. Originally from Boyertown, Pa., Kuser was a lacrosse and field hockey standout during her high school career. She will be assisted by Director of Athlhetics and Recreation Garnett Purnell and Associate Director of Athletics/Senior Woman Administrator Pam Smith for the balance of the 2006 season.

Student Assistant Coach: Jon Kirkwood

Senior Jon Kirkwood joined the Wittenberg women's lacrosse coaching staff for the first time before the 2006 season.

Kirkwood was a three-year letterwinner on the Wittenberg football team as a back-up tight end and key special teams performer. Appearing in all 10 games as a senior in 2005, Kirkwood caught a career-high six passes for 119 yards and three touchdowns. He caught a total of eight passes for 126 yards and four touchdowns in his career.

In each of the last three years, a senior student assistant coach has gained valuable experience and given a great deal of time to the women's lacrosse program. In 2004, former football and track athlete Alex White served in that capacity. In 2005, it was former cross country runner and sports information department intern Andy Gallatin.
