News Release: 41 Wittenberg Student-Athletes Claim Spring Sport All-Conference Awards
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — Wittenberg wrapped up a record-setting year with another haul of All-North Coast Athletic Conference recognitions from their spring sports. A total of 41 student-athletes earned NCAC spring postseason honors during a season in which the Tiger men's and women's tennis, men's golf and men's and women's lacrosse teams reached new heights. WOOSTER, Ohio — Heading into the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Tournament for just the second time in program history, the Wittenberg Tigers now have a profile on the top team in the conference after a 18-9 loss at the hands of Wooster in the conference regular season finale. Athlete of the Week: Jordan Beauchamp Earns NCAC Athlete of the Week Award
CLEVELAND, Ohio — Wittenberg sophomore attacker Jordan Beauchamp (Noblesville, IN/Hamilton Southeastern) scored seven goals and added four ground balls as Wittenberg defeated Oberlin, 20-8, and Denison, 9-6, in NCAC play last week. The Tigers defeated the Big Red for the first time in 24 tries, a streak that stretched back to the 1990 season.
