ALLIANCE, Ohio - On Saturday the Wittenberg women's soccer reserve team netted a 3-1 road win at Mount Union.

Controlling the play for the majority of the game, the reserves did well to overcome the wind, the field turf, and a Purple Raiders side that refused to go away quietly. Courtney Burchett opened up the scoring on a great first half goal to the upper 90. Mount Union tied the game in the opening moments of the second half on a well-placed goal of their own, but then it was Ziggy time. Returning from illness, Lindsay Zigler got "ziggy with it" and put Mount Union away with two nicely placed breakaways to put the game out of reach.

The Tiger defense, led by Eileen Quinn, Emily Stover, Abby Johnson and Stacy Fennell, shut the door the rest of the way.
