The Tigers found the back of the net twice in the first half, and it proved to be all they needed. Junior Amanda Farrell (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland) got the first goal just 14 minutes into the game. She got behind the defense and beat the goalie for her fourth goal of the season. In the 23rd minute of the half, Suzanne Medwid (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) knocked in another goal for the Tigers.
For the game, which was stopped with just over four minutes remaining due to an approaching storm, Wittenberg outshot Indiana Wesleyan 8-3 and had the advantage in corner kicks 6-2. The Tigers return to action Tuesday with a home game against NCAC rival Kenyon at 7 p.m.
