Springfield, Ohio -- Despite outshooting Cedarville 12-3 in the game, Wittenberg couldn't finish their many opportunities to seasl the non-conference victory on Senior Day at Bill Edwards Field, dropping a disappointing 2-1 overtime decision to the visiting Yellow Jackets.

After a scoreless first half, the Tigers fell behind in the 48th minute when Cedarville converted on a corner kick. The Tigers equalized when freshman forward Geri Woessner (Dayton, Ohio/Oakwood) scored on an unassisted goal - set up by a crossing pass by sophomore midfielder Emily Gersbach (Hamilton, Ohio/Badin) - with just six minutes remaining in regulation.

The rally was short-lived, however, as Cedarville found the back of the net five minutes into the first overtime period to capture the victory.
